WAIAU & ROTHERHAM 
This is what small rural town New Zealand is all about… friendly locals and wonderful scenery. Waiau is only a short drive from Mt Lyford, Hanmer Springs or Culverden and guests to this lovely Hurunui area will enjoy the wonderful selection of B & B and farmstay accommodation available. Rotherham and Waiau offer some of the best access to the Waiau River for freshwater fishing enthusiasts. Trout can be found here in good numbers and the salmon are found running from February - March each year.
The Waiau Lodge Hotel offers country hospitality at its best. Stop in for a coffee, great food or a glass of local wine beside the open fire. The cafe offers separate intimate restaurant dining and accommodation is available. Waiau tours are available for those seeking some New Zealand adventure. The Amuri Golf Course is located between Rotherham and Waiau. A well maintained rural 12-hole course with a lovely mountain backdrop.
